In Witness of Their Service ...
Every Catholic is called to an ongoing process of formation and
education in
their Faith. In its effort to support this process The
Church of the Resurrection offers a variety of Religious Education
programs and opportunities.
Child and Youth Faith
Formation: At the time of their infant’s
baptism, parents commit themselves to the faith formation of
their child. Resurrection, in an effort to support and assist parents in this role; offers formal religious education programs
for education in the Catholic Faith. Resurrection offers programs from kindergarten through eighth grade, Youth Group, and
Children’s Liturgy of the Word.
Adult Faith Formation:
The parish program provides opportunities
for adults to grow in the knowledge and appreciation of the
Catholic Faith
through sacramental preparation, Bible study, faithsharing, RCIA and other classroom opportunities.
Catechists: The best way to learn something is to teach it. Catechists are
individuals who, through the gift of their time and talent, share a knowledge and experience of the Faith with others. All
Catechists are required by the Diocese of Pittsburgh to complete criminal clearances and formal training to obtain their certification.
The training consists of four programs that include Sacraments, Morality, Methods, and Creed.
Office Staff: The support staff makes sure that the administrative
work is completed
and that every child is given immediate attention to meet their needs, along with the Catechists and the Catechetical Administrative.
For their dedication, the parish wishes to thank all those who
give
of their time and talent to fostering the education of parishioners of all ages.
