In Witness of Their Service . . .
The Resurrection Chapter of Ladies of Charity is a diocesan organization associated with Catholic Charities. The
group was founded in 1997 and, at present, has thirteen members. New members are always welcome. Membership in the Ladies
of Charity is open to women of all ages who possess a spirit of charity and are willing to share their time and talents with
others. Among the acts of charity performed by the ladies are: sending birthday cards and Christmas cards to parishioners
over age 80 and keeping in touch with shut-ins and folks in nursing homes. They make phone calls and visits to the sick, make
and distribute prayer shawls to the homebound, and occasionally visit the homebound. At Christmastime, members plan and organize
the Angel Tree, and distribute the gifts donated by members of the parish.
