The Church of the Resurrection has never
been without a choir. Our choir has always occupied an important place in liturgical worship, giving the musical parts of
church services added solemnity and beauty and setting the mood for services in every church season. However, only the men
of the parish could be members of the choir in the early days. With Vatican II came the call for a more
active participation by the laity in the liturgical life of the Church. Women were welcomed as members of the choir and their
voices added even more to the beauty of our liturgies. Today, our choir is known as The Resurrection Singers and has a membership
of fourteen men and women. They practice once a week and sing regularly at the 11:30 Sunday Mass and other liturgical services.
The parish wishes to thank the members
of the Resurrection Singers for their years of devoted service to making the liturgies at Resurrection an experience
of heart and soul, sung in traditional style.
