In Witness to Their Service:
Ever since the church doors opened in 1909, there have been men involved, week after week,
greeting parishioners and visitors coming to Mass on Sundays, collecting the Sunday offerings, providing order for the stream
of people approaching the altar at communion time, and distributing the parish bulletin to parishioners as they leave the
church. Many of our ushers have been on the job for many years because they realize that ushering is a very important part
of the liturgical ministry of Resurrection. While most of our ushers in the past have been men, the church now allows women
to perform this important ministry. Past ushers have done and present ushers are doing a great service to the parish, but
our pool of ushers is in need of new members. Men and women of all ages, who are willing and can commit to the service of
the parish in the capacity of usher, are most welcome to join our present group.
For the weekly services they perform, the parish wishes to thank our present day ushers.
We also wish to remember all those who have retired and those who have passed away.
