In Witness to Their Service:
The Resurrection Youth Ministry is a group of high school students
who meet monthly to learn the true meaning of sharing and the importance of contributing to parish and community affairs.
Founded in 2007, the group already numbers twenty young men and women who have thrown themselves into activities that benefit
the young and marginal members of our society. They have carried out a Blacklight Easter Egg Hunt, a Hunger Banquet, a Love
Walk for the Poor, a Brookline Park Clean-up, a Confirmation Reception, and a Food Drive. They have worked at the Brookline
Food Pantry, held a bake sale, and participated in the Souper Bowl of Caring Drive. In order to round out their activities,
members were treated to fun events such as Movie Night, a Sleepover, Cosmic Bowling, a Zoo Trip, Ice Skating and many other
events. These young adults are learning that faith in Jesus and stewardship in his name are necessary elements of Christian
discipleship, and at the same time can be rewarding and loads of fun.
We
wish to thank our young people for becoming a vital part of the parish, for carrying out the parish mission to love others
and to work for the betterment of the parish and the community.
