The Catholic Church like a voice in the wilderness continues to proclaim the sacredness of human life and defends
the life of the baby in its mother’s womb from its conception. Every
child is a gift from God and must be cherished. It does more than decry the evil of abortion, it reaches out to offer the
mother in distress because of her pregnancy, the help she needs to bring her baby to birth and to nurture the child’s
life. It is not enough to be pro-life we need to act pro-life. If you feel called to this ministry of life, consider supporting
or volunteering for one of the following organizations.
CATHOLIC
CHARITIES - ROSELIA CENTER
Concerned with the state of families in today's world, Catholic Charities provides programs and services that support,
nurture and sustain the family. One of the programs of Catholic Charities is to
provide assistance for women and girls who are in crisis because of their pregnancy. Besides offering pregnancy
testing, counseling, adoption services, referrals and baby items to anyone who calls, they also have a facility,
Roselia Center, where girls can live throughout their pregnancy and some months afterwards as they complete their schooling.
Volunteers and donations of baby items are always welcome.

LIFELINE
Lifeline
is a pregnancy support service, organized to respond to the woman who needs help coping with her pregnancy. When the
pregnancy presents problems that are medical, financial or personal; or if there is a need for moral support there can be
intense pressures. The decision to have an abortion is often made in ignorance of other alternatives, or in fear of
rejection. In any event each client is served uniquely and personally. Genuine care is offered whenever she calls
Lifeline.
The Lifeline volunteers are the backbone of the organization. They
engage in offering confidential and caring help over the telephone and in the offices. The volunteer acts as the bridge
between the woman and the resources in the community that might be available to her. Volunteers are also needed for public
relations, collection and distribution of baby clothes, office support staff, education/speakers, and booth workers.
Lifeline provides a comprehensive training program for the volunteers.
