Our Bishop Calls God's People
of the Diocese of Pittsburgh
To Eucharistic Adoration

In his remarks at his installation,
Bishop Zubik invited all of us
to become excited about our
Catholic Faith.

He has shown his excitement in the way he has been ministering to us since he became our Shepherd and Pastor. Now as our Pastor he is inviting all of us to deepen that faith
through prayer before the Blessed Sacrament
.

He sees the need for all to be strengthened in their vocations,

whether it is to Christian marriage and family life, the single life, the priesthood or religious life. The strength to live our call according to God’s plan can only come to us in prayer.

In honor of the Year of St. Paul, on the
2000th anniversary of his birth,

The whole diocese is called to a renewed devotion to

the Eucharist, the source and summit of our Catholic Faith.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place continuously in some church, 24-7,365 days of the year beginning June 29th, 2008.

You are called to be part of this prayer experience at The Church of the Resurrection.

The days assigned to Resurrection are
July 28th and December 26th, 2008.

From Sunday, July 27th 7:30 PM until Monday July 28th at 6 PM, and

on Friday, December 26th from 9:30 AM to 12 midnight,

Our Lord Jesus in the Eucharist will be on our altar for adoration.

We are asking you to respond to the Lord and our
Bishop’s call to prayer
and
Download and fill out the form
so that we can work out a schedule.

We will have to cover a 24 hour period with some of those hours during the night. Come as an individual, a couple, a family, or a group of friends to pray.

We are looking for police officers or others in security

to help provide safety during the night hours.

Please call the rectory if you are willing to help.
